Lyrical Class and Getting Sexually Harassed- Great Combo

So I’ve been missing dance like crazy but with my work and training schedule I haven’t found much time to take a dance class. I took a ballet class a week or too ago and that went alright. But my favorite is lyrical, and these are intense classes let me tell you. Even when you are used to doing them every week you still are sore the next day. So yea it was a workout and toward the end of class as we were doing across the floor routines the bottoms of my toes starting stinging. So I look down and of course I had three open blisters. And I didn’t have any blisters before I came to class- so they all formed and popped within one hour. So yea the rest of class was pretty painful, considering you dance on your feet....Anyway it was a great class and it just reminds me of how much I miss studio dancing. :-(
BUT after class as I walk out of the door of the studio on Main Street in downtown Hopkins to my car around the corner and across the street, this black man leaning against the wall on the street stands up and says ‘hey’ in one of those ‘hey’ voices. It’s natural for me to be nice so I simply say ‘Hi’ back and continue walking. Wrong choice. He proceeds to follow me and say ‘What’s your name?’. I don’t respond. He says “Rough day, huh?’. I say ‘Yep’ and continue walking in hopes of getting him off my chest (no pun intended). His two friends from across the street start to join him. I’m thinking get to my car fast. They continue to follow me and I hear them mumbling about me and hear the word ‘juices’. That disgusted me. They continue to follow me across the street toward my car. They are about five feet behind me now. I’m so pissed off and disgusted, I stop in the middle of the street and turn around and say ‘Fuck Off” in an attempted ‘don’t mess with me’ voice. It seemed to work because they stopped following me. I know it doesn’t help that I was wearing my skimpy dance tank and shorts, but it was only 8:30 and I usually don’t have to worry about anything until it’s after 9:30 or 10 or when it gets dark out. But it was still sunny out and my car was 1 min away, so I didn’t feel the need to throw extra clothes on. Even if I did though, they probably still would have harassed me. So what started off as a great night ended up with my being harassed…
